The cheapest Camaro within 100 miles of me on Autotrader is a 4 banger for $27,516. The cheapest Camaro SS is at the same dealership for $35,573. There's another SS for $54,180 at a different dealership. For that money I'd pay $52,966 for a new Corvette that's listed.

There's a Shelby GT350 listed at $57,495 and there's still a GT listed for under $27,000 at Sheehy Ford.

If Ford bumped the MSRP up it's a dumb move IMO. I'll be interested in seeing what prices for both cars are come tax time.

It's true. Within that link is a link to m6g discussing it.

A base no option GT manual msrp is 34595 with destination. A camaro is 37295 with destination.

2700 difference. With PP price is virtually the same.

But yeah... Easier to find deals on the stang.

Great day at South Georgia Motor Sports Park with the 2016 2SS Camaro. No hero runs this time - just solid, consistent 11 second runs.

With 1,500 miles on the odometer, I broke into the 11s on the second of six street tire runs. The best was an 11.905 run at 117.69 mph with a 1.757 60 foot. The car is 100% bone stock, no mods of any kind and the same street tires it came with on all four corners. SGMP Track scale weight was 3,682# w/o driver and with 1/2 tank of gas. This time I removed the fire extinguisher, tow hook (it's heavy) and the floor mats. Driver is still 225lbs.

The switch to MT DRs and skinnys took about 30 mins and it easily hit elevens three out of three runs. Best run was an 11.778 at 118.21 mph and a 1.703 60 foot. SGMP Track scale weight was 3,625# w/o driver.

Outstanding times! Let's hope the performance war continues.

Was looking at Camaros and Mustangs on Ebay and found this new 2016 GT with Recaros, Six Piston Brembos, and the Roush TVS 2300 for $43,880. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Mustang...m=252197930559

Somebody is getting a good deal.

Local Roush dealer to me voids all Ford power train warranty with any supercharger install. If you want any coverage at all, you have to purchase further Roush coverage on the engine and supercharger. Not sure how much coverage is available.

Impressive, I wasn't crazy about these when the pics first dropped but I saw a white '16 the other day in a McD's parking lot and it was beautiful. Car looks like it lost the bulkiness look of the fifth gens, front end is much sleeker.

Pine Belt in Lakewood had a pair of them the other day (I believe both were already sold) and Lester Glenn Chevy in TR has a black one

I may have to open a GM card to start racking up points and buy one next year

if youre getting a card in hope of getting thousands off dont bother. unless you plan to carry a balance which imo is a waste you might as well just save your money towards a down payment.

i wanted a 5th gen since they came out. the most GM offered me off was 2k. if you can be patient like i was wait till the end of its life cycle. youll most likely see decent discounts and incentives.

i saw one today at a local dealer. its been there awhile. i didnt notice i guess because to me they dont look a whole lot different from a 5th gen though thats not a bad thing.

i almost thought it was a mustang.
