Thinkin of getting a new Camaro
So of all the flavors of Camaros which ones would be good for some weekend fun at the drag strip with drag radials without getting into the high dollar ones? What model, specs would be best ? Thanks.

1ss coupe with the a8. No MRC. Adds cost and complexity. Does not help at the strip. The NPP is a nice option but doesn't add any real power. It does sound a lot better than the non npp.
I would also advise against a sunroof. With a helmet on even an average height person can have clearance issues with head hitting the roof.

Not my thread but I do have a question about the SS set up as mentioned.
I am trying to get the weight per HP ratio for that combination.
What is the weight ready to make a pass with about 1/4 tank of fuel?
What rear wheel HP numbers is the new SS making using pump gas?

My M6 put down 415 whp stock
The A8 probably closer to 390
I wish I would have gotten the A8
Strong transmission with great gearing
Out the box alot of guys are running high 11's
Put a Magnuson kit on with sticky tires and 10's shouldn't be a problem
That's just the kit with the canned tune provided

A8's dyno 390-400whp, M6 Dyno 410-420. A8's run 11's all day in decent air with a drag radial. Full bolt-on they end up around 480-490whp and have ran 10.4 @ 128 in decent air with 200lbs of weight reduction.
