Second 6th gen camaro this time in a stick though . So far car is very impressive and at 3580 lbs with a full tank of fuel I’m impressed. I do love the sleeper look of the car and also rear spoiler delete

Been there done that left the 6th gen over a year ago with the A8 and I’m still in the top ten for fastest bolt on car lol . I plan on going faster with this car when all said and done . For me it’s a lot more fun to roll some gears .

I like these new LT1 cars. They're like a Foxbody Mustang LX. They're lighter than a SS (or a GT in the LX's case) but you can option them up nicely if you want certain features. (even though there's likely a weight penalty when you start adding a bunch of options to them) They give you what you need to go fast without a bunch of fluff you may not want to pay for. They seem to be an ideal tuner car.

That's some nice weight for a four seat (sort of anyway) V8 car in 2020. I mentioned your cars weight on YT the other day and I think you replied to my comment? It's especially impressive with the NPP exhaust. At least I'd assume it adds some weight over the base exhaust?

BTW congrats on your new car. I went and looked at a white LT1 about a month and a half ago.

Yea that was me lol and I think the only weight the npp adds is from the extra tips and valves . Also the dragpack I have coming should saved about 120lbs so it don’t take much to drop weight i love it

Had not heard about the LT1 Camaro until yesterday when I raced one. My C6 ls3 put a couple cars on it in about 100 yards. Chevy finally sells a car for someone who only wants to go fast.

I am looking at a LT1 and a 1SS, how is the handling comparison, which one handles better.

The SS should handle better from the factory simply based on the fact that it wears 245/275 summer performance tires F/R, whereas the LT1 wears a 245 square setup with all-weather tires. Otherwise basically identical seeing as the LT1 uses the base SS, non-MRC suspension.

The LT1 is a lighter because of the smaller tires/rear brakes, and I think some of coolers on the SS like maybe the trans/rearend coolers are deleted (but not 100% sure) on the LT1 as they weren't deemed necessary on a car your not autocrossing or RR'ing.

Thanks , JROC, having only driven a SS, with no MRC, was impressed for a stocker.
