Default Wrecked the car early this morning....

So early this morning as i was traveling back home to visit my parent's. This was at 4 in the morning, got out of work at 3. I wasnt tired or nothing, a very easy day at work that night. I usually dont go to sleep till 6 in the morning.

Anyway's, im just driving and come up on some 18 Wheeler's. So i speed up to 70 to pass them, speed limit is 65. I just wanted to go ahead and get ahead of them, well i pass 1 then as im coming up on the 2nd one. Which was ahead by about 3 to 4 car lengths. I hear a loud pop then i just lose control and start swerving back and forth and im trying to get the car to go off the road in the middle section of the highway roads. I guess at that point, the car caught the gravel on the side of the road and jerked the car sideway's and i end up going straight into the 18 Wheeler's back wheels. I hit them, then it bounced off and went forward some more and the rear wheels' on the 18 Wheeler's trailer are coming straight at me and smash the front end yet again and thankfully enough. It pushed me off the road and out of traffics way.

So the whole front of the car is pretty much fucked, hood is bent up, bumper's smashed, fender's are wrecked and im guessing my rear right wheel that blew out. The rim is probably gone to ****.

Now i have to wait till Tuesday to find out what the insurance decides to do. Idk if they'll claim it totalled or not. Thankfully, i wasnt hurt at all. Had my seatbelt on and as far as i can remember. I really didnt move around at all, no bumps, scratches, bruises or anything.

Well, that ******* sucks. . .Sucks that you car is fucked, but it is a fact - cars are replaceable no matter how much we like em' - but life is'nt. At least you are alright. < That comes 1st.

Now for the car. . . .evaluate the damage, see if it is worth repairing,or move on.

Good luck. . .

Nahh no pics yet, hopefully in about an hour or 2 ill pass by the wrecking yard, where the car was towed to and snap some pics. Hopefully ill be able to see it good enough for decent photo's of the damage and update the original post with pics.

Yeaa, that's what i been thinking about. If the insurance claims it totalled, ill be looking for another LS1 or possibly a TBSS.

Damn.. Sorry man.

I was in a Wendy's parking lot when an 18 wheeler took to the liberty of smashing my old '95 GT.

Seems to have worked out for the better for you though

but in all seriousness, glad you are ok man. If they total it, then get another one and enjoy it knowing the safety record of these cars first hand. GL

They were the Cooper Tires, and ive only had for about 6 month's or so. Im thinking i must have ran something over, because i had the car parked at work in the shop and i remember seeing that tire and it looked normal.

Sorry to hear bro. Well your OK and if the total the car. You can buy it back for $300 and pull the LS1 and trans and sell them for a downpayment towards a TBSS or low milage F-body.

Glad to hear you are OK, sucks about the car. I would check into tire failure. A friend of mine at work had a Cooper tire blow out on him at 65 but he managed not to hit anything. Also, his tire wasn't very old either, he said the tread came off the tire.
