probably just popped the bead on the tire, try taking the wheel off the car and air it up while squeezing the tire, usually it will seat right again.

yeah sound like you just popped them off the bead if you cant see any damage to them. if you are lucky then the rim isnt bent and it will blow right back up

rim isn't bent but it punctured holes in both tires on the sidewall. they basically popped. got them replaced today. wow what shitty tires to blow from a curb connection at 10mph.

sumitomo hrt 2. are those bad tires? if i had a truck i would have gone right over it no problem. especially makes it seem the tires suck if there was no rim damage, not even a bent lip. what do you guys think?

^^I can clear **** in my truck no problem cause it's a 75 series sidewall tire..alot of flex.

Most of us are running a 40-series sidewall tire on more than likely a 17" wheel, so there isn't really a whole lot of sidewall there to absorb an impact. That's why they pop.

so i have a question...the guy put tires on my car yesterday and he said they were pirellis, but they are not pirellis but instead primewell. i was not happy. i called and a different guy was working. i don't think he believed me when i told him the story but he said sorry for the misunderstanding but they will replace the tires with new tires of my choice. i then asked if i could order my same sumitomos for the other side (don't want to have to have 2 different types of tires on my car if i don't have to). he said i couldn't order them from anywhere but firestone and he called his vendor and that guy said the htrz II is discontinued and he could only do the htrz III, which look nothing like my tires.

so the option is still open i told him i would call him back. should i upgrade those 2 tires through firestone to a different brand (probably will still be overcharged) or should i just leave the primewell on? is there a problem having 2 brands of tires on your car? the sumitomos are actually only a couple of months old. this guy told me the primewells are just as good as the sumitomos, but both still aren't great. i don't know if i believe him.

anybody give me a bit of advice?

Well if you do end up going with two different brands of tires, atleast have 2 the same on the front, and the other 2 on the back to make it look normal.

actually i called firestone and they called tirerack and are having the sumitomos (same ones i have on the other side of my car) shipped to their store and i can get them installed just $5 over the cost of what i could get them through tirerack directly. although it sucks i busted TWO tires simultaneously, it looks like it is going to work out the best it could given the situation. i'm just glad i got the guy to order through tirerack.
