Default do i need another vehicle

So i've been roaming around looking for a beater truck to be a parts getter instead of my 06 GTO and i cam across a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd 2 door std cab short bed.. options are Leather, Tow Package, traction control, it's got some cragar look alike rims on it with pirelli tires.. oh and the truck is the red of that year.. the truok looks to be in great shape it has 92000 miles and is certified used? the book on it is pretty impressive.. it's only had 2 problems in it's life.. the lumbar control in the seat quit *dealership replaced under warranty*, and the fuel pump went out at 51000 miles *dealership replaced not under warranty* all for $5129.00.. i could find a cheaper truck but for the price of this it's a steal.. plus its got a vortec engine the 5.3

Go for it. My 99 Z-71 has 186K on it and runs like the day I bought it 5 1/2 years ago.Only had to do the routine stuff and never cracked a bolt on the engine. A lot of them have a little piston slap at start up but no biggie. Try to talk'em down but I say GO FOR IT You'll be surprised how peppy and fuel efficient that lil 5.3 is too

do it, it is the best mod for your GTO you can possibly do! It will keep the miles off and you can put the high wear items (drag radials) on the GTO and not worry about using them too fast. I have had my drag radials on my TA for about a year now and they still look pretty good since I only drive it around town once in a while. Also give you a chance to take your time when doing mods and not be rushed so you can drive it to work the next day.

do it, my dad has an 01 silverado with the 5.3 and it has 340,000 miles on it, routine maintenance, never cracked a bolt on the motor, 1 transmission at 150,000, great truck.

I have an older Tahoe with 112k on it....it's been a good truck, but I had to put a lot of money into it around 100k; fuel pump, water pump, powersteering pump, new intake gasket, and an electrical short....plus maintenance items like a battery, brakes, tune-up and tires. The truck runs great, but it has been a little more expensive to drive then I expected.

From personal experience a daily driver is the best mod you can have for your LSx car

yes you fellas sold me i'm buying it.. i think i can get it down to 4.3k what do ya'll think? i really need a camera.. so i could put some pics up.. the only thing i think is wrong with the truck is the driver seat needs to be reapholstered as it has small small cracks in the leather.. only thing is you know i'm going to do work to the truck too.. probably turn it into a street truck.. like lower it, summit racing headers and exhaust, cold air intake.. just minimal and cheap stuff to help it out

that is a nice truck.. but this has fewer miles and the 5.3... plus the biggest thing.. you live all the way out in freaking texas man lol if you matched the dealers price i'd spend that much extra getting it back here lol.. jesus christ and i left out the biggest part.. i bought it today at 6 after the dealership closed i called the dealer i'll be taking a nice check up there and driving it home sometime around 2 in the afternoon after they clean it up real nice for me.
