Default o2 sensor readings?

I am getting a code for bad o2 bank 1 sensor 1, its reading in the mid 400s on a snap on scanner, the pass side reads 750-800 usually

does it sound like the sensor is actually bad?

the car runs good but I don't have anything to compare it to since its had the code since I started it, idle is kinda sloppy and smells rich

Sounds like it. But I'm not sure about the snap on tool. I diagnosed mine with HPTuners, plus I've read on here that if they're bad they 'flatline' at around 400mv, thats what mine were doing.
Good ones should oscillate high to low voltage constantly with the engine running, you are testing with it running right?
My car didn't run that bad when both my O2's went out, kind of low on power down low and a low speed cruise surge.

yeah its reading in the 400 and under range running warm, from a stop it feels low on power

the car was backfiring bad when trying to start so that likely ruined it
