when i pulled the positive terminal out i found some nasty corrosion, swapped the bolt though and covered it heavily with some anti-corrosion. So that might have been causing some problems, either way, a new battery gives me some ease of mind.

It sounds to me like you are not getting fuel to your motor, hence having to spray starter fluid for it to run briefly, or, do you not have the fuel rails hooked up for some reason? I'm assuming you do.

I don't see where you have an electrical problem. The OP does however.

Well, nemss, at this point, I'd have to say to check your fuel pump. See if it's getting at least 12vdc to it. I've never tried to check mine, but given where the tank is, I'm betting you'll have to pull the fuel tank to get to the pump. Before I did that though, I'd check the fuel pump fuse.

I just had this problem with my T/A its the battery. it might not be "bad" but the battery is probably old and doesnt like cold weather. I replaced mine and havent had a problem since.
