Do you guys think a 226/226 .609/.600 110lsa cam is too big for a Dd T/A??

.575 is not really mild, but definitely not wild. I'd suggest getting springs good for over .600 lift though. Not sure what springs TR's package comes with, but talk to them and try to get something good to .650. They'll last a lot longer I think.

They should be good. Advertised to .600" lift. If I were you, I'd ask if they could price you a package with the comp 921's (26921, i think). That's their dual spring good to .650" lift. Just in case you miss a shift or tap the rev limiter. I'd rather be on the safe side, but those springs you listed will do the trick.

My cam is not too different (see sig) and although it is not a DD I could easily drive it every day. It does not really like low, below 1700, RPMs but that was just a minor adjustment in driving style. Mainly you just have to put the clutch in earlier when slowing down or it will start to buck a little.
It has only died on me once and that was suddenly jumping on it after normal driving (to put a cocky BMW driver in his place) and then letting off and putting the clutch in for a light. Thought I broke it and then realized it had only died, lol.

The cam you've selected would be a great fit for a daily driver. I went mildy more aggressive with the lift on mine -- the Trick Flow cam in my sig below.
My car runs VERY smoothly regardless of the weather. I don't have any surging or idle issues and it starts up on the first crank everytime. There are plenty of people running cams larger than mine that also claim to be fine as daily drivers -- at the end of the day, I think I settled on a pretty good "middle of the road" cam that provides both good performance and reliable street manners.

Hmmm this cam sounds very very familiar haha
A good tune and it will be a great street cam(I am really happy with it) with a nice fairly flat torque curve. I just need a tune again then it will be awesome.... im gonna have it retuned when its time for some spray this spring
I dont see a spring failing a .600 lift cam as opposed to .583 lift cam.
If you run dual valve springs good to .650 or .660 lift you wont have any troubles.
For those of you that might want to know what it sounds like:

Yep it was your cam which caught my eye! I decided that I think im gonna go with a 230/224 .575/.563 111 lsa though.

Also when the cam goes in its always a good idea to throw a LS2 chain in as its thicker and just a little added insurance for only 35-40 bucks as there is no additional charge for installation. Those and Hardened pushrods for about 110-120....help out against valvetrain float or bending a rod at high rpms

Run whatever spring you want but the least open seat pressure that works is easist on the rockers. I should listen to myself (PRC duals here).
It is a myth that cold weather breaks valvesprings. The are HARDENED steel people.
TR knows cams WAY better than me but I prefer traditional split cams for these cars. It is hard to know for sure since you list no supporting mods (unless I missed it). I would rather run a 224/230 than vice versa but that is just me.
Search Chrs1313 and look at his 230/230 cam too. With a good tune it will be very mild as a DD.

A reverse split is good for your setup right now in my opinion because you have full exhaust and a LS6 intake....so that cam gives it a little more time to let air in and not as much time to come out but that good because you have full exhaust.
A good tuner will make that a VERY streetable cam....you will love it

Glad to see im gonna like the cam!
Also, my car/motor has 63,300 miles on it....I personally don't think I need new lifters and lifter trays, what do you guys think?

no need for lifters...and plus if you did want to do lifters you would have to remove the heads which is another 500ish if you are having a shop install them
My motor had 52k on it when the cam went it...at 57k now. If it was high mileage it might be a good idea but you will def. be fine rockin the stockers

To the OP, have you looked into Texas Speed's MS3 & MS4. I just installed the MS4 in my car with an idle of 750-825 (very low for that cam) & so far i love it, but i have only driven it in a parking lot. Car doesn't see winter & i am in NY...
