I am looking at getting a vette sometime next year. Which one you think will be a better buy. 03 or 04 z06 or just get a 05 c6. My goals are just to have a cam only car. Its going to be a M6 car. I am almost 40 years old so I am not that worried about insurance. This will be a weekend car.

I would say 05 C6 it may have 5 less HP but it is a lot nicer and the C5 Z06 is more of a race car it is very noisey inside and rides very hard.

Go with an 06 or newer C6 if you plan on taking it to the track, the 05's had issues with the shafts breaking, usually taking the diff with them. If it's just going to be a driver, then you have no worries with the 05. Right now, you can get into either a C5Z or a C6 for what is cost a year ago to buy a newer base C5, so it's a buyer's market, get the newest you can to protect your investment.The C6s also have a much better ride and handling over the C5, not to mention more power.Good luck!

it seems like you can get killer deals on C5Z's right now, but c6's are more badass looking and probably a little nicer...i dont think you can go wrong either way but if you got the money for a c6 y not?

C6 chassis has more potential when modded so just keep that in mind. Otherwise whatever trips your trigger looks wise or best for financials.

Will get out this weekend test dirve the c6. The one pick will be just a weekend car, and will not see that much track time.

C6 all the way IMO. Go for the '08 with the LS3. You can find good deals on them brand new and slightly new. But if it's not in your budget, '06 or '07 should be.
