Whats Your Employment Situation? Wanted to see how many people are either currently employed, laidoff/unemployed, or retired. Just to see some numbers....sounds like its gonna get alot worse to.

im employed but everyone at my work has to take a one month mandatory lay-off (even the big shots) in their choice of either january or february. I chose Jan. but they may lay off a bunch of people in the next 2 weeks before the january temporary layoff starts. not good

im currently still enployed, but we've shut down 3 times already and we might be closed for two weeks coming up so kind of fucked. and all of this time is coming from our PTO.

I''ll be graduating from my online high-school this year (I fucked up, ended up graduating a year late) but then I'll be going off to college. I don't really have a job, so I marked un-employed. I help my dad run his business, so he pays me for that, but it's far from a job.

Employed thank god. Im a heavy equipment mechanic and the market is horrible out here right now. My work has gone from 14 field and 3 shop mechanics to 5 field mechanics.Times are tough,may not be too long before im either let go or my company closes this branch, either way im s.o.l.

I'm currently employed. I work for Frito Lay, which is the largest manufacturer of snacks and **** on the planet. We somehow manage to grow steadily every year regardless of economic situations! Not to mention they pay me very well! I am very thankful for my job!

Didnt vote. Dont want to jinks myself. 3-4 months ago I was planing on looking for a new job after the 1st of the year. Me and a buddy of mine were both planning on not taking the 1st of the year re-up bonus, basically they lock us in for another 6 months by offering us a bonus. **** now im afraid that if I dont except the bonus they might kick me to the curb.
