snapped a couple pics of the GTM
been working on a FFR GTM supercar for a little while now. I decided to snap a couple pics with my phone today. The body will be back from paint tomorrow. Then its crunch time.

I wouldn't be able to tell you how it is from the start. I started working on the car after it was already at 3 different shops. Its a long story. The car was a mess when it came to us. We also were missing many many many parts to complete the car. Most of the time I have spent on it is finding missing parts and straitening out things that someone else messed up. Goes together fairly easy.
I would recommend a few things before you get started on this build. But LOTS and LOTS of 1/8" drill bits. Good ones. I would also think about getting a pneumatic riveter. There are a ton of 1/8" rivets in this car.
The biggest concern for a novice or intermediate builder would be the wiring. We went a separate route from the book. We used a painless chassis harness and a Painless computer and harness. We didn't use a donor harness like they want you to.

how much does a built gtm cost? how hard is it? could the average person learn as they go and build one? this is something i'd be looking into after college hopefully. i hear they cost about $30k to build yourself depending on engine. sure as hell beats a 350z.

they ore OZ racing wheels, im not sure of the name though. i cant remember the exact size but im pretty sure they are 335 or 325 in the back.
The cost could very greatly, and I think you could learn as you go. It might cost you more money if you mess something up, the panels are expensive if you buy them individually. Many things can make the cost go up or down. Motor selection, transaxle, wheels, paint, and how cheap you can find a donor car.
We are supposed to build 5 of these for the same guy. I think on the next one we are going to put some proride touches on it.

Dude, thats awesome. post up some more pictures! I cantr believe those are the only pics you got of the build... Id like to see more detail stuff, like what you had to do to get some of the panels to fit.. etc.. I know there was a mold issue with a door or a fender or something on the first batch it made alignment a bitch, was that resololved on this build? MORE PICS PLEASE!
