I'm trying to squeeze my neighbor into handing me his 05 corvette that he can't finish paying for (1400 a month). Car has 17,800 miles on it, black on black with black convertible top. I'm not too familiar with corvettes so my question is, what are the different types of 2005 corvettes out there? What should i be looking for? I don't really understand the differences btwn the corvette abbreviations (c6/z06/blah blah)

All i know is that he is really struggling, and it might only cost me 25k (max) to take over the car, instead of him giving it back to the dealer for that very price.

C6 Z06'S Don't come in a convertible he has just a c6 Corvette which mean's it a 6th generation Corvette.

So it's nothing crazy fancy eh?.. It has all the crazy options, the GPS, its automatic... heated leather... but the top is manual. You actually bring it down yourself! Never seen that before... He popped the hood, it's an ls2.

I'm telling him 24,000 is my last offer.. i'll take it off his hands. Online they sell for a lot, but i don't know if its the same kind of corvette.

It drives FKK'N ridiculously though..

My camaro is bolt on with a nice lil tune.. I'd say i'm not TOOO far below 400hp, but his felt like it actually RUNSSSSSSS (and i think it's also 400hp) Perhaps it's just the feeling of being in the passenger seat

I ran a C6 vert w/ a 02 SS w/ bolt-on's and stayed w/him all the way to top end right at his back bumper and my car was around 410hp.

pshhh.... why get that, when for $10 more you can get the 200hp/50mpg chip. Thats what I'm runnin, and nothing can keep up
