Why do you want to do a wheelie anyways? They aren't good if you're trying to run a decent time.

im sure its
for the wow factor. I personally wouldn't mind giving up a tenth or two to be able to yank the fronts lol

You can do with much less than 800 rwhp. Just takes a lot more suspension and tire work. If your drive train can handle it, slicks, high gear, weight transfer suspension, ie, stiffer front springs, medium out back, control arms that can adjust your instant center, tubular suspension parts up front including k member for weight reduction. It also takes a high throttle launch, stall or heavy clutch dump.

I thought of that. Unfortunately it moves from "WOW my front end is in the air!, to OH **** sparks just shot out from the sides of my car and my front end suspension doesn't feel right!"

400 or so RWHP through an auto with a 3500 stall, relocated battery,no front sway bar, tube K member, BMR xtreme torque arm with +2 dialed in, QA1 coil overs set loose in front,& big-n-little 15" tire combo with 10 inch Micky wrinkle wall tires.
Do not attempt unless there is something other than a 10 bolt installed.

Jetlag had an '02 GT that'd pull one tire a few inches off the ground with 300rwhp. Stock suspension, 4.10s, slicks and a six grand clutch drop. From what I recall, all it had was some lightweight seats, V6 wheels up front and Pro Stars out back.

He'd have to fill in the details.

I opened this thread with the intentions of being a wise ***, but I'm assuming the OP dosen't have a lot of experience. So I'll answer the question as honestly as I can. First off dump the 10 bolt and 2.73's, and get a better rear with 3.73's and up. You'll need a stall convertor around 4000rpm's, and a set of slicks out back and skinnies up front. Remove the front sway bar and put a 150 shot on the car. At that point you should get some daylight under the front left tire.

Yeah but if you suspension isn't set for the way back down on something like that... Bye bye oil pan and possibly more... It's nice to have a showcar like though. Tubular Kmember, Drag rims/slicks, head/cam(400+whp), rear end, and drivetrain/chassis(LCAs, Torque Arm, SFC minimal) and a good stall. That will get ya off the ground pretty well and safely back down. Nothing like that but will shadow the tires for sure.
