Default Is it too much header?

Howdy - I'm looking at buying a used pair of Kooks headers (#6505-1s) for my pretty much stock 02 TA w/LS1. The description on these headers states they are for engines with bigger cams, nitrous, and such. Would these still work okay or would they cause possible problems? Thanks

Are they 1 7/8ths?
If so, they will be fine.
They will flow better for a bigger application, but if you are stock they won't show a huge gain over 1 3/4ths.
If they are a good deal take um.

The 1 7/8" headers won't cause any problems to your car. They'll give you a couple more ponies than the 1 3/4".

How much do you figure you'd gain at the wheels with the ls6 intake? You're an a4 so maybe 10rwhp? More? Just curious.

really couldnt say for sure but from what i hear it is one of the best boltons so maybe 10 for a ls6 ande more for the fast and more for the new weiand that is coming out just a guess though.

Your not going to lose any power or torque down low from stock but going with 1 3/4's might give more down low than the 1 7/8's will.

Maybe 10 rwhp with an M6 but more like 5 with an a4. I did it and couldn't even tell the difference. But if you plan on doing a cam without a fast 90/92 then I would get one for sure because with the cam it will make much over of a difference.

Well if it's 10 for an m6 then I would venture a guess at around 8rwhp for an A4. An M6 puts more to the wheels but obviously not double. I was just wondering on the average gains from these intakes in general. I have an ls6 intake and was thinking of stepping it up a notch. Thanks.

+1, although the bigger may not net more gains than smaller ones depending on mods

Sorry I wasn't comparing m6 to a4 but rather saying you could get 10rwhp out of an m6 but realistically more like 5.
