Default Thinking about a new route...

Im just in the beginning stages of thinking about my next project. Been thinking about other cars/trucks too but this is the F-body option that I cant decide on.

I really want a Turbo car, nothing crazy just 400-450whp. I was thinking the STS is the best option for this.

Options 1: Turbo my car. If I do this I would have to get rid of my LTs, probably switch cams away from the Hot Cam, and get a built 6 speed, thats what I can think of now. Take a look at my For Sale add or Fquick page to see the current mods. All mods were done by the previous owner so I wont take a huge hit on mod costs.

Option 2: Sell my car and buy a cheap A4 car. Install STS and maybe stall. This would probably be the easiest route. I would probably be ok with the stock 10 bolt in an A4 car, but I dont know. Keep in mind I would have to sell my current car at a huge loss most likely if I go this route. Or just try and find one built the way I want it already.

Option 3: Something else, please elaborate on what.

Im not dead set on anything really, just thinking about what may be easiest or cheapest.

EDIT: Maybe posting this in the FI section would have been better. Maybe Ill do both if I dont get much from here.

I would go with option 1, but why would you need a built 6spd? I thought these t56s were pretty strong, especially for only 450-500 hp

I think option one would be easiest. You don't have to go through all the trouble of selling a car and then buying another one.

If you are not in it for numbers/times and need a cheap turbo setup then sts is probably your best bet. You should look up other kits too, you might decide against rear mount if the price is right...

Definately Option 1. Selling your current car at this time could be very difficult and you would lose money on the deal.

Go with option one and forget about rebuilding the six speed. They can handle the power levels that you are stating-Just don't powershift.

I'm with everyone else. Your car has low miles and a 12 bolt, so you have a great foundation to work from.

Im in it for all of the above. I want it to be good but not a ton of money and I want decent power numbers too, times isnt a huge deal to me. I love to drag race but its not everything.

I like my stuff to work though. And I like to drive my stuff hard. Ive seen people post here where they FUBAR the 6 speeds under stock power with less miles than what I have.

Im with option 0.

Idk if its just me, but personally I just don't think its worth it to spend thousands and thousands to turbo these cars for only 400-450RWHP. You can easily attain those same numbers in a cam only car or cam/heads for MUCH cheaper. Although you cannot beat the turbo sound, I feel its just not worth it to put down such low numbers.
