Anyone have or have tried SUMMIT made items?
I haven't been to their site in awhile, had to visit it to grab a quick part I need. I noticed they have a whole line of parts that I don't remember them having.
Has anyone here used or tried any of their items?
Not always a good thing but they are cheaper then other stuff of the same type they sell and they have some nice combo packages.

I've heard mixed things about different products from summit an jegs. I also heard they are the number one reason there isnt more local race shops in your area, which is why to me i would never buy from them, not only do they cripple local race shops who can help you way more when it come to putting things together but they also hurt places like speed inc an SLP so screw jegs an their universal crap!!

I've got some Summit brand tools, no complaints. I own snap on, craftsman and other brands and the Summit tools seem to be just as good. As far as parts I ordered the Summit brand 4bll carb for my truck, seems to be a quality carb compareable to other brands. Runs good, the secondaries open up well, idles good, etc.. What more can you ask for.

i had a summit water pump for my old 5.o mustang and it was a very high quility piece well built.
i always buy from summit but i do buy from the sponsors on here when i can to give em some support.
as for local race shops that it killed in my area there are none to kill lol at least not lsx shops.
i also get the parts from summit in 1 day ups ground because there not that far from me(about a 2 hours drive).
you also run a biz for it to prosper and get bigger and rake in more cash its not like any of us would shut down our shop if it was better and made more money that the shop down the road lol.

I live right down the street from summit and buy their parts from time to time. Sometimes you can see the original companies logo on a summit part, I bought a fuel pressure regulator that was summit brand, had a holley logo on it. Sometimes they are cheaper too, which is cool.
Summit just started carrying UMI too which is kinda neat, they just drop ship right from UMI directly.

I've got a Summit diff cover on my Camaro. Good fit, good quality, and it has a drain plug so now I can change diff fluid without taking off the entire cover. Maybe it will help hold the 10-bolt together for a little bit too.
Just ordered the TrickFlow version for the T/A cuz the Summit one is backordered. Looks exactly the same in the catalog; we'll see when it's delivered tomorrow.
"These Summit® differential support covers have a heat-treated aluminum body which helps keep bearings and ring gears in place. Also, the incorporated, adjustable load bolts prevent cap movement and breakage, and ensure proper pinion depth and backlash."
