Default just installed drop, now rides horrible?

I figure i already know the answer, but wanta get yal's opinions. I just put a one inch drop on my ta and now it rides really rough. Infact my mom said my wheels looked like they were wobbling. Im hoping it just needs an alignment? Its at the exhaust shop getting the pipes tucked in under it. So i'll get an alignment afterwards and hope that fixs it.

stock are not suitable for stock springs...let alone drop springs.

1. what springs did you swap to?
2. What shocks did yous swap to?
3. Did you do any other suspension work at the same time? PHB? LCA relocation?

You have to have an alignment after a drop!

You definitely need an alignment. I put in shocks/springs, upper ball joints, new rack and new tie rod ends and they said that it was WAY off. My steering wheel was turned about 30 degrees and it didn't feel right without the alignment as well. Now it drives straighter than it ever has.

Definately need an alignment!! Lowering the car makes your camber go negative which can increase bump steer as well. I would say to find either a good repair shop or a good tire shop and get the alignment done.

If the wheel looks like its wobbling you def got a problem. Are your front wheels strait or do they lean in a bit? Also did you get an Adjustable PHB to center the rear. Either way an alignment is needed. Post in the suspension section maybe a sponsor will help you out.

see how it is after the alignment. now, of course also start saving for shocks cuz those stockers are gonna go fast on a lowered car.

he said he put bilsteins on it haha

did you get the HD's or revalves? HD's are valved for stock height, not drop springs.

also it may just be the higher spring rate you're feeling. it's definitely a rougher ride, and bilsteins are known to under dampen. check to make sure everything's torqued down properly too. my car drove fine for 3 days while i waited to get it aligned(had to make an appointment at a place since my car was too low for everyone's ramps)

Even the HDs would be better than those damn decarbons. It's going to ride rougher with the higher spring rates. I don't know that an alignment will soften the ride up any honestly.

I dont think i was real clear. When i said it rode rough it was do to bump steer/shaking front end. The alignment fixed it right up. Rides great and smooth now. Thanks for all the help guys i appreciate it.

yea i have the sheet here somewhere, but the angles were off pretty dramatic. Apparently just driving from the muffler shop to the tire shop (a mile or so away) loosened the lugnuts greatly. They were pulling it in...and somehow realized it and had to tighten them. Just glad its riding good again .
