and fast being the best? i guess you have never tried the combo i mentioned of you have a higher revving motor which in that case yes that fast will flow barely a bit better but will still have problems

On my '99 Z28, I doubt if the LS6 intake added even 10 RWHP. Probably close, but not quite. However, my '99 is 100% stock internals, not even 1.7 rockers. The more mods you are going to do, the more necessary the intake swap will be. Or put it this way, the more of a restriction your LS1 intake is, the more gain you will get from going LS6.
When I did my swap, I kept the stock coolant lines in place and clearanced the bottom of the LS6 manifold just like 71-Camaro-98. I think that's the better way to do it.

I think it is better to grind the bottom of the LS6 to clear the line instead blocking the rears off .
As far as FAST vs. LS6 conversion just go to Lingenfelters site and the FAST still beats the LS6.
And what probs...other than my butt still being a little tender for what I paid for my FAST (used even) I have hd 0 issues with it

i just did my LS6 intake swap few days ago, i used SLP's egr intake, i broke my oil pressure sensor (my old old sensor was already bad tho) the intake was not the easiest thing to get in but i was able to manage it. make sure you route the power booster line behind the oil pressure sensor or else u will pinch it, make sure no wires get caught under the intake, make sure the dowels go in. on mine i used my stock coolent lines so i grinded the bottom side, but when i had my intake laying on the top of the motor in position it was not sitting flush all the way to the ports, but if i pushed it down the center it was fine, dont be worried if this happens to you, you either have to remove the green clips holding the knock sensor wires or massage the coolent line down with a hammer a bit. i noticed a very nice acceleration increase, i feel like the car now pulls just as hard at 2k rpms rather then at 3k
