Went to advanced to clear a check engine light. For what i dont know. The check engine light checker thign they have wouldnt read on my car. after trying to hook it up the whole left bank cylinders are not firing now. Its running on 4 cylinders. Any ideas?

go get it SCANNED not erased... it should be throwing codes again if its only running on 4 cylinders.

Uh I work for advance and there has been an instance where our code reader has effed up someones ecm for some unknown reason. But this was years ago this is exactly why we usually dont mess with it.

ive read several car codes with an advanced scanner. First off it free. second dealer would want like 100$ to read it.
Second i tried reading the code to erase it. it wont scan the car for codes. so i couldnt do either of them.
Then when i went to leave the car only runs on like 4 cylinders now.
