Default LS6 Intake and Headers, what else?

Well I finally sold my old truck and now I'm going to invest (ha,ha) more money in my car. I have an LS6 manifold to go on and just ordered a set of American Racing Headers w/catted y pipe and Spohn solid motor mounts. Not much money left but what else would be a good upgrade to these parts. I will buy new plugs to go in but what about wires? Shoulld I change them now or will the oem's be O.K. I have 50,000 miles on the clock now. How about new injectors? Anything else that will not cost much as I still have to have it installed and dyno tuned. thanks in advance

Get the NGK TR55 plugs, they are great. Definitely get new wires too. Get a P/P Throttle body or port your own to save some cash. Maybe a E-Cutout?

Changing them won't hurt, go with replacement OEMs. Throw a cam in there haha.

depends how much money you have left over? if you only have $300 or so, a tune would be a good option.

Nice job going with the ARH headers, Catted Y, and LS6 intake. You and I are in the same boat with the mods. Im doing the exact same thing with the exact same brands. Youre going to have a kick *** set up, especially with all your suspension mods that you have done already. I would say do plugs and wires and save up for the heads and cam or one or the other next year like someone said. Sweet man, good luck.

N2O, best bang for the buck.

For what you would spend on injectors and a tune you can get a wet shot and be 100Hp more powerful!

yes you can reuse the old header gasket, if they look worn really badly (they usually aren't) then go to a gm dealer and get oem ones. plug wires are almost a must, with the stockers mine was skipping. It wasn't enough that it ran really bad at first, but when hooked up to a scanner it had about 4-6 misses per 100 revolutions. with the MSD's it didn't have a single miss in over 10,000 revolutions on the scanner. Im assuming its because they got hot from the headers, even though they weren't touching. just food for thought.

I used the gaskets that ARH supplied, they were just like the oem ones. I changed wires and plugs too. She runs and sounds great. Now I need a Tick master cylinder, I don't have any clutch pedal left when I shift to 3rd or 4th.

cams?
get a TUNE most important thang to do to ur car every mod u EVER do does not see it's full potential unless there's changes made to the pcm... exhaust means more flow less restriction so that means gotta change the air/fuel n what not the so on n so on... get a tune. the right tune will get u more power n guarantee better fuel mileage... just a lil off on tune can make urt cars pcm throw the wrong amount of fuel in the system n put a black res. on ur plugs witch screws up the way they fire...

I meant to say cam, and I got a tune. You're right though, you do need a good tune to see the car's full potential.
