just wanted to say WOOOOW...i thought my 97 cobra with full exhaust, gears and intake was pretty quik... HA! there no way to compare! that SS i drove today was ****** FAST! almost 85mph at the top of 2nd. well the car is a 2001 SS and its black with black leather and chrome 10 spokes. also its a M6 with 99k on it and im getting it for 7800, clean carfax record. mods done to it is K&N filter(big whoop lol) SLP D/D cat back(isnt that stock???) and short tube headers(cali car) and its lowered but it rips! wow and cant wait to take her home. i'll know monday or tuesday so keep ur fingers crossed!

i've riding in some be4 and owned a 02 z28 A4 3 years ago. its just i been w/o a car for a lil over 2 months now so thats prolly why it felt so damn fast lol but its for sure a healthy LS1. its way faster then my cobra i had thats for sure

Sounds about right My brother in law has a 98 cobra with headers, CAI and gears and I pull him pretty easily......

It felt fast? My full exhaust and 4:10 geared car feels slow now. That's why im having my cam installed here in a few. Good luck with the car.

Wow super deal. No that exhaust is not stock its an option. The chrome wheels too painted was standard.

You weren't at 85 at the top of 2nd man. If the car is stock you were around 60 MPH or so. I think you meant third.

i know what you mean, i used to drive my brothers 98 gt 5spd, 260 rwhp (cobra clone)
and it felt weak compared to my ls1 when it was stock lol....

i used to think i could pull on any car with that gt...

oh and i think 3.42's top out 70 mph in 2nd

I was the same way. When I bought my Formula it felt unbelivavbly fast. Then I got used to it and it felt like a dog. Had the cam installed and loved the power but after a while it felt slow. Rejeting to 150 shot of nitrous so hopefully that will suffice for a little while.

I test drove a bone stock 2001 T/A (6spd) last fall from a local dealership and I could not believe how slow it felt to me. You'll get used to the power fast.

i did say it had a mod or too if u re-read it and yes i was 80 at the top of second. my brother and I watched all 3 times i went WOT from a 5mph roll. maybe it had gears? i doubt it thou
