Default Can u fix the window motor???

my driver side window is dead and heard on the radio a shop that fixes them......never heard of someone doing this.

i'm gonna have to call BS on this one. A regulator is a simple electric motor, you usually can't fix that

they sell them on ebay - which i got mine from for like 35 bux IIRC. just swap em out really.. not sure how ud fix it..

well i stopped by the shop a few hours ago and the guy was like "yeah i can have it ready in about an hour and a half" so i stayed a bit and couldnt really tell what he was doing but he was done in less than an hour. i had to leave since i was out doing some other stuff so i wasnt able to see exactly what he did to it, but i KNOW he did not replace it. anyways, he gave me a 6mos warranty but i did loose the automatic window opening thingy. paid 60$.

For $60 you could have just gotten a better motor with a lifetime warranty from autozone. That's what I did and It only took me about an hour and a half to replace it without ever having done it before.

Yea......

IS just better to replace the window motor. Its not difficult at all.


And there is no way he repaired the window motor. That is stupid. He replaced it with.

any way to get the rivots out of the door without drilling them out? they hold the window motor in and i dont really wanna drill them. I figure theres something i havent thought of...

window motors are constantly burning out on our cars. just make sure you get one with a lifetime warranty and you're good to go.
