Nitrous for sure.

however, I would rather have a cam + tune than either of those for the money.

This is truth. Nitrous can be great, but it scares me and probably even in the safest application isn't the best thing for the longevity of your motor. CCW wheels are sex, but all flash. They do hold their value well though. It's all about your goals: show or go?

But to answer the question...the best way to spend $2500 is to not spend it at all. If you have a car payment, apply it to that so you save money on the interest. If you don't, then invest that money. The economy sucks right now.

If you have bills pay those. Some people are either all show or all go, well i'm both and see nothing wrong with going fast and looking good. I'm not a fan of Nitrous so I would take the CCW's over them anyday. If you don't have an go fast parts I would get those but somewhere down the line I would get some CCW's too.

Yea........ Billlllsssss......

Get LT headers, cam, tune... and if $$$ left over then LCAs, and gears. Do it! Do it now, and be happy.

BTW, nothing is cheesier than a stock powered F-body with CCWs. Nice wheels, but not a first mod. Sorry, but they just aren't. Did I say cam???

i know wheels are nice and everything, but i'd rather go with a set of factory 17in wheels for a couple hundred bucks.
nitrous won't cost that much unless you're factoring in refills for a year spraying a couple times a week.

with that kind of money i'd dump it into heads/cam or suspension.

depends really - what do you want to do with the car?

I wouldn't do heads yet.

$2500 is enough for LT headers, cam (plus all that goes with, oil pump, timing chain ext), tune and maybe a stall/gears (depending on A4 v. M6)....

Anything left should be put towards some decent drag radials.

If you still have $$$ left... suspension (LCAs first).

Just my Opinion.

if it has to be nitrous or ccw's, my vote is definately nitrous. but if it were me, i'd put that toward a rearend, that way you can use all that power without worry of the rear giving up on you.

This is a good point. My first major mod (after bolt-ons) was a 9"....

However, that was only because I broke my 10-bolt. I say wait till it brakes so long as this is not your only means of transportation.

People have taken the stock 10-bolt DEEP into the 10s (even 9s I believe). So, I don't think it is too much of a gamble to do a cam. Just don't launch it at 5000RPMs at the track with a dedicated tire on there.

Disclaimer => my 10-bolt broke during aggressive street driving on an all-weather tire w/ approxiamtely 330 rwhp. It can happen to anyone, but odds are that it won't happen to you so long as you are mindfull of the limitations and don't launch it agressively with a sticky tire.

12 bolt or 9" so your rear doesn't explode when you get nitrous. If you have one already, then nitrous.
