yea I dont see how putting 2 stroke oil in the gas for a 4 stroke engine would do anything. The only thing ive heard close to this would be guys with Rotary engines mixing oil in there gas, but a rotary and a LS1 are like comparing apples and oranges

I'm not doing this yet, but, I think I should.

It's biggest reason is to counter act the drying effects of 10% ethanol in the fuel.

Talking

I'm not exposing the rubber parts of my fuel system to oil.

Besides, plenty of oil gets into the intake tract through the LS1's shoddy PCV design. haha.

the rotary motors mix the oil in the gas automatically through a metering pump and a set of oil lines into the intake tract. adding oil to your gas kills the octane rating of your gas if I remember correctly.

I've never heard of doing this in a gasoline engine, however I use it in my truck since its a diesel. The process of removing sulfur from diesel in the ultra low sulfur diesel strips diesel of its lubrication properties.

does the ******* search feature STILL not work? There was a huge massive thread about this on here. You only mix in 1 oz per 5 gallons of gas

I guess not. I searched a few different ways and THIS was the only thread I found other than this one. It's not big at all, but it has a link to an article or something.

Yeah, I spent like 10 minutes wading through bullshit when I was searching for the other thread and was quite frustrated that I had no luck so nobody would know what I was talking about. However, I would like to point out that it was used in the proper context.

I can't see the benefit of 2-stroke oil mixed in the gas.
How about mixing Marvel Mystery oil instead.

i race dirt bikes and sometimes we might put jsut a little bit of two stroke oil in some four stroke gas, just for a little extra lube. as far as i know it shouldnt hurt anything. the only thing it might do if you put a buncch in there would be smoke some.

Yep, sure do.........one of the best thing to do for your engine............
lubricates fuel pump, seals, injectors.....
cleans fuel system, scavanges water that ethanol attracts.....
creates film of protection in fuel system to prevent corrosion.....
helps clean spark plugs, valves, combustion chambers.....
cleans ring packs.....
creates a film on cylinder walls to eliminate cold start metal wear.....

Car will run smoother, more efficiently, parts will last longer, i.e., fuel pump, injectors
Increased rwhp and mpg

Whaaa?

You sound like a STP ad-- where do you get this mythocrap from? What proof do you have for these amazing functions?

How come NASCAR with their million dollar investments don't put 60cents of oil in their racegas to get that small margin of performance? How come {insert gasoline producer here} doesn't just add it into their mix?

I've NEVER heard of this before...just seems a little "unorthodox". But I guess a lot of things we do tend to be.
