Ive owned both, and the cobra is the best car i have owned. Extreme power with very minimal mods.. Only made for 2 years and driveability is not suffered when you pulley or Kenne bell the car, unlike when you cam a Ls1.. Cobra

True and if you pull the heads off a cobra you have to pull the motor. My room mates cobra that has a stgy stage 4 and blah blah dropped a valve at 53,000 miles and he doesn't get on it as much as I beat on my car. My friend hall sold his 03 Vert with upper 20s in miles and the buyer drove it home to IL. 2 days later the timing chain broke, and thankfully it only hurt one of the heads but once again the motor has 2 be pulled I have heard of how strong they are and I like them but I feel more confident driving my H/C goat up and down the east coast than I would in a cobra.

And goodluck striker, Comp orange Cobra's are sick. And the blower whine is nice 2

Now that pontiac is gone i would never get rid of a WS6 that has never seen rain and is completely bone stock. this could be worth a lot of $$$ some day.

My main problem with the Cobra is the Engine; it's a little thing on the inside and big on the the outside. It was a major mistake for Ford to go with that little engine over a 5.0/351W. An LS3 with the same amount of boost will give you more horsepower and better durability than you could ever get out of a 4.6.

From a performance standpoint Stock vs. stock the Cobra would be the better choice. If you going to mod it stick with what you have.

Umm a typical cobra dynos 450-500rwhp with bolt ons. This is plenty of power for me. I really am not a fan of taking out my motor in order to get those similar power levels with my LS1. Way too much work. Anyways, please lets not have a Ford vs Chevy war. Thanks.

The thing that sucks big time for us canada guys up here is availability. Right now we have very few cobras. Prices vary too, anywhere from 26-28K USD and mileage is anywhere from 12K-20K miles. The yellow one I mentioned earlier is the best one so far, and from my knowledge the only one that is truely bone stock.

*New shots from the Cobra owner*

Sorry bout that. Close to stock, the cobra is the way to go for performance.

If that Cobra was any other color than yellow I'd say go for it. The 03 - 04 Cobras are insane cars with TONS of potential. I think the ws6 looks better. Its deff a hard choice. If you can Id say try and get both.

a local guy has a ported blower, pulley, catback and an intake and hes putting down over 500 hp. I know all you guys are gonna say,"put a supercharger on an ls1 and we'll see." or "gm doesn't need a blower." but you gotta respect those number for not having much work at all and being a good dd, unlike a ls1 with heads and cam. Like i said 2 times before I would defiantly go for the cobra. Although your WS6 is beautiful, and either way you will have a sick car.

I'll chime in.

I have owned
02 Firehawk M6
02 T/A M6
99 Z28 A4
And Picking up tomorrow
99 Firehawk M6

I also had
03 Zinc Yellow Cobra
03 Sonic Blue Cobra

99 Corvette M6
2004 Z06

For 24k you can get a decent z06. Better than the Cobra IMO. A much better driver car. Same goes for F-body. If this is your DD, the clutch is a bitch in the Cobra. Not to mention I think it is harder to drive fast, horrible axle hop from IRS. 2-3 shift is akward in a termi, etc.

While I love the modabiltiy of the cobra and I have owned two of them, I like driving the m6 f-bodies better. And teh C5Z best.

I had my 99 Z28 A4 and cobra at the same time. I mostly drove the Z28. lol.

Just food for thought as well. My 02 Firehawk(every slp option) ran 12.98@109.xx stock.

My 03 sonic blue (366whp stock) ran 13.1@110, gained 3mph from catted x and catback, intake(no tune). But couldn't improve et due to clutch issue?

My 02 T/A M6 Lid only ran 13.5@107 leaving at idle 2.35 60'(didn't want to blow rear) Then I gave it a tune up, and a cutout, which dyno'ed at 326whp(no tune)

Long story short. If it is your daily... If I were you I'd keep your mint WS6, or if you want to go faster spend that cash towards a C5Z. The better car over the cobra.

I could have bought a cobra after I sold my 04 Z, but decided against it. Saved about 10k and bought my 30k mile 99 firehawk M6. For the money you cannot beat these cars.

I've driven the C5Z and it is very very nice to drive, as you mentioned. I really enjoyed it. No the car wont be a DD, just like my ws6 isn't. It's pretty hard to find a MINT MINT low mileage C5z for that price, and to be honest Id be happier with the terminator. Why did you have two of em? Just got sick of the zinc yellow?

PS-I hope you got the cams welded on your 99 SHO

I just sold my 04 C5Z for 27,500, 24k on it. Pretty much stock. Not a scratch/ding on it. Like new.

You would have no problem finding an 02 for that price.

traded the first terminator in then in 07 bought another one. I hands down enjoyed my c5z more than my termi's. I paid 23k for my 03 sonic blue, bone stock with 8k miles in 07. Then sold it for 29k, when the season was over.

Once I get my school debt paid off, I am thinking on picking up a c6z.

Plus for what you would get for your WS6 in this market, wouldn't make it worth it. again imo.

The sho was welded, I sold it two weeks ago. Wanted only one car, to save cash.

Figured this white hawk, for the money is hard to beat. Can't wait to get it tomorrow. But the only way you will know is by buying it.

If you want to tap the cobra for awhile, I say do it. If you don't like it. Sell it then buy another ws6.
