i use the booster seats for both of my boys. I will soon be using an infant seat as well with the tie down points. The service manual shows how to use the tiedown points and get them set up properly.

Only problem I had in my car was with my 4 yr. old's booster seat. It was slightly wider than the seat and would sometimes lay sideways (fall into the seat instead of sitting on top). I'd look back and he would be all cockeyed in the slanted seat.
Infant seats are no problem, and in fact are easier to access the kid vs. a 4 door car since they sit closer.

My daughter will be turning 1 next month so we can turn here car seat around, which should free up alot of room for the passenger seat. With the rear facing seat my wifes knees are basically in the dashboard.

I use a car seat all the time in the back seat. I have found phone books work great to space the child seat or booster up some if necessary. Many different size phone books to fit the different type seats and the will not compress when you tie the car seat down. It makes for a nice and tight safe fit for the seat. The books also kind of engage into the bottom of the car seat when you tie it down so you don't have to worry about them coming out and being in an unsafe situation in a car wreck.

Thought I'd add my 2cents. First, I recommend taking the back buckets out. Just one bolt at the front base of the seat and it comes right out, leaving you a flat floor pan to place the car seat on - takes less than 5 minutes. To anchor the seats, use the existing anchor points for the seat belts. Just slide the seat belt to the side of the anchor, and clip the car seat straps in. Tighten it down, and go for a ride! Here's the setup in my vert - takes just a few minutes to setup, and then the whole family gets to go on cruise night...
