Default Headlight malfunction?

I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 and I flashed my lights at someone who was driving with theirs off and now my headlights have stopped working correctly. When I have my low or regular beams on, the light for my high beams on the dash is dim but not completely off, almost as if my lights were stuck half way between high and low beams? I was wondering if anyone else had ever had this problem or know of a way to solve it, because now only one of my four headlamps is lighting correctly. Thanks.

I had this problem before, and it kinda fixed itself...and ya it is pretty strange, but i think i read somewhere before that you should try and re-seat all the plugs for the headlight other than that Im not sure, so goodluck!

I had this exact problem.

The previous owner of my car wired in some aftermarket fog lamps. The wires had since been removed from the switch in the interior of the car, but all of the positive leads had been left in place under the hood. I believe it was shorting on something, because as soon as I removed all that mess my headlights started working again.

For what it's worth.
