80 MM TB or stock ported?
Ok mods in sig, was looking at some TBs. The 80 mm is right around $180, found ported stock ones for $60-$75 with shipping. With the LS6 intake, I cant imagine any bigger than 80 would do any good.

A ported stocker it 75mm which is the same diameter as the intake opening. Installing a T/B that is larger than the intake opening is just stupid. The step would cause more turbulance and flow probably less than a stock T/B.

Ima bout to sell a 80mm BBk, upgrading to the PP 85mm, but then again I am also adding the 85mm N2O plate and Ported LS6 intake to 85mm so all will match.
I would say if you want to go to the 80mm, get it. But expect to break out a dremmel or a file to open up the front of your stock intake. If you want to do some "stealth mods" I just read an article on removing the stock intake, porting the runners and the opening to the intake and then port matching to the heads. I guess they gained close to about 15 hp from doing that. not sure it would be worth your time. Seems like alot of work for 15 horses.

Pp tb
There is a guy named John here on LS1TECH that bought a stock TB from me.
His tag is WS6nJAX and his avitar has a hot chick holding a couple of ported TB's. He was very easy to deal with and I am sure he will help you out. I also noticed he has TB's for sale on Ebay for a very reasonable price. Hope that helps.
