Default VIN locations, here they are

Dash plate, door sticker, engine, transmission, passenger side rear body panel, passenger side roof pillar.

I've seen people ask. The numbers stamped all over the place mean next to nothing. The VIN's are stamped in dot matrix and have a thick piece of clear plastic over them.

You need a mirror and flashlight to see the one under the bumper cover, you need a key to reinstall the weather stripping on the roof pillar.

I have one car that was wrecked and pulled, the rear vin location is destroyed by the pulling clamp. There is no way you could tamper with the roof pillar vin unless it was a serious chop job.
I don't have any pics of an engine block stamping.

Just FYI and for VIN verification on a suspicious car.

You also forgot that the PCM has the car's VIN in it, it can be easily changed with a reflash.

look on your door codes. if you have a mm6 or mn6 it was manual stock. if it has auto stock its m30 or mx0. Look for those and that will tell you. If i can see a pic of your door sticker i can tell you all of the options on your car. like what gear it has in the rear.
