Good decision man. It has certainly saved my *** a couple of times. I dont DD or drive my car in the rain, but every once in awhile I'll be out cruising or something and get stuck with it raining or leave after it has rained. My set-up and 4.10s not exactly the most traction happy even on dry roads. LOL

What this soldier said. I trusted my wife during my first deployment, knew her from high school. Left married, came back and quickly divorced cause she was a lying cheating, bad... woman!!!

Basic is 10 weeks long unless your infantry then its 13 so your looking at over 2 months of seperation right there. Believe me when I tell you probably will deploy sometime after ait. Spouses tend to react weird or act out (cheat, lie, party excessivly, blow money, etc.) when their soldier is deployed and they are in a new environment with few friends and are just plain lonely.

Point is your gonna buy a nice ls1 car right before you leave for the service just to let someone else drive it. Why not wait till you get out of ait, take your sign on bonus, then buy one.

ya im gonna have to wait till im out cause im so broke lol. But i know of the wall of shame and i think its horrible that some of these guys get dumped while their out.

Just reading through this and this is really weird. A good friend of mine went to training for the Navy and his girlfriend at the time went to my university (don't see her around much at all). I see him when he gets back and he tells me she left him for another guy. I was like WTF you're gone for two months and she leaves you after a long going relationship? Not right.

Definitely wait until you're back man.

yep after my deployment i think about a quater of my company came home to cheating, lieing wives some were married through there last deployment before and it just didnt work this time. point is no matter what it can happen to anyone. and yea i always leave my tcs on cause if i turn it off i tend to get a little giddy sometimes

i turned it off the other day just to see what it feels like again im in colorado springs co so i get rare times when its not snowing or raining so i can let loose and not worry about it.
