The guy that owns the Vette is an idiot.
He didn't get a written estimate before hand so he could negotiate
pricing.
He is stuck with the bill they gave him.
Good thing another member there offered to give him a tube of
Astroglide- he is going to need it.
That shop is a joke-
they saw him coming and bent him over.

Yea, and Canada uses MTU's (Metric Time Units) so it's difficult to tell
Seriously though some of those prices are just retarded. $1150 to put on an exhaust? $168 for spark plugs? $118 in materials for an oil change?
Sucks for that guy, but thats why you learn to do stuff on your own or find a guy that you know other people have worked with before.

Yeah he got ripped off but the Canadian dollar is worth about 10 percent less than the US dollar right now and 95 Canadian dollars per hr is apparantly the going rate for shop labor where he is from. Still got screwed though...

I don't know. The OP doesn't seem to have his shiz together, either.
Read post number 44 in the thread. That's how I feel about the subject (even though it's clear he still got ripped off by the shop.)

132CAD is $115USD, give or take.
(1 canadian dollar is roughly 90 US cents).
That doesn't know what theyre doing.
They fed the guy some BS to up the price
He believed it & pointed the finger at the poor guy who sold him the kit.
Guess that's why it's best to go to forum vendors...
