Default I think I need a motor.

Was driving down the road doing about 30mph when all of a sudden its sounds like a little man with a sledge hammer is trying to get out of my motor. So I am about 1/2 a block away from my mothers house and pull in there. This is what I hear.

Anyone got a motor 4 sale?

Ouch... that sucks... I am pretty sure the ONLY way it can be fixed is with a stroker crank and a new set of heads!

That is not cool. I would try and not make to many more movies of the car with the motor running. Even thought the damage is probably done.

haha yea he is.

OP while you still have oil pressure, it is kinda low, and I'd almost be willing to bet that there was an oil blockage or other oiling problem. Definitely a spun rod. You can get new bearings and get the crank turned for fairly cheap. If you havent scored the cylinder walls you can get it rebuilt for cheap if you do it yourself. BTW, not GM's fault that that car spun a bearing

as for why it happened, have you done anything to the car recently (eg: when did you last change your oil, was it low on oil, have you seafoamed it w/o properly changing all fluids/filters?)

That dosen't sound good, I'd probably agree that its a spun bearing. How many miles on the car and any internal mods or just bolt on's?

94000 miles, has fresh fluids in it about 1200 miles old ( all mobile 1) not low on anything. No mods other that a K&N FIPK that was on the car when I got it.

Because of work I didnt get a chance to get started on the car. But the plan is to get it going tomorrow. Anyone no of some good piston, rod, ring combos for nitrous? If the crank is on I am going to reuse it, and put some money into h/c/i
