OP while you still have oil pressure, it is kinda low, and I'd almost be willing to bet that there was an oil blockage or other oiling problem. Definitely a spun rod. You can get new bearings and get the crank turned for fairly cheap. If you havent scored the cylinder walls you can get it rebuilt for cheap if you do it yourself. as for why it happened, have you done anything to the car recently (eg: when did you last change your oil, was it low on oil, have you seafoamed it w/o properly changing all fluids/filters?)

My LS2 Sound like that too , but my problem was from a Cracked #7 piston .. and Oh yeah it tore the Cylender wall up Bad !!! put it this way with the heads off your look down in the cylender you can see the top ring !!! OUCH !!lol

Because of work I didnt get a chance to get started on the car. But the plan is to get it going tomorrow. Anyone no of some good piston, rod, ring combos for nitrous? If the crank is on I am going to reuse it, and put some money into h/c/i
