okay, back to this ,if your going downhill for 20 miles without toughing the accelarator, how is fuel getting into the engine cylinders which it would require to keep it running, you know the spray, compress ,bang, push piston sequence,whatcha ma callit thing that they do

So if you are going down hill in gear, your fuel injectors shut off & your
spark plugs stop firing?
So theoretically, if you lived in Colorado & you drove for 20 miles going
down the side of a mountain, you wouldn't use a drop of gas?
I'm not calling you wrong, I've just never heard of this before.

There was a guy I read about that had perfected the gas saving method by driving slower then ****, putting the car in neutral and cruising down hills and not breaking on turns to use centrifugal force to keep moving. So if you want to live your life worrying about gas prices, buy a smart car and join the crowd hippies and socialites who have nothing better to do. I bought my SS to be a loud and obnoxious car that turns heads. I bought a crotch rocket for gas.
