Default answer on LS7 clutch kit

I have read about the LS7 clutch kit for about 4 hours on here and still never found really what I was looking for. I'm wanting to order the LS7 clutch kit # SDLS7CK from sdparts.com...all I read about is that u need a LS2 flywheel to work with the LS1 but the LS7 and LS2 flywheels are both the same right?...I mean you can bolt up an LS7 flywheel to an LS2 engine so wouldnt it be the same, just like an LS1 is no different than an LS6...so if I get that kit I'll be fine right?

I believe so.. but it should come in the package either way. I paid $450 and the flywheel came with everything so im pretty sure it's the same one as the ls2 but either way whatever it is it'll come with the clutch package.

That is correct. It comes complete. I am running one in my C5Z. Came with disc, pressure plate, and the flywheel. You are good to go.

The part number you wanted to order, sdls7ck, will have everything you need. No worries on what works with what. LS2-Ls7 are the same flywheel, they mount to the engine the same way as older flywheels, but the way they mount to the pressure plate is different, that's why you have to have the flywheel that goes with whatever clutch you choose. They are all interchangeable as long as you have the right flywheel. (Aside from the LS9)
