Why are Gen III camshafts so expensive?

Because they sell and even though the original LS1 is 12 years old almost every LSX motor variant can use the same cam. I remember when Lt1 cams were expensive, look at them now.

i hate those damn fast intake prices. for almost any other option you have to cut the car up. So they pretty much got the market cornered.

All i know is it seems like SLP lids are about the cheapest but also look the best/cleanest IMO. as far as all their other parts go.......you're right.
