Post Which one? Your favorite daily driver late model muscle car

Wondering what you would buy and why. As a daily driver. Feel free to post up any alternatives. Max of 20 grand. This is a real choice, not a hypothetical so all real world factors apply:

price
power
looks
insurance
gas
room
supporting community
aftermarket products
modding potential
ect

My short list of possibles:

LS1 Camaro
LS2 GTO
C5
C5 Z06
03/04 Cobra

I voted LS2 goat going off of your choices and the price range given. The 03-04 Cobra definately has way more mod potential but its not as comfy and nice on the inside like the GTO. Since this was about a DD and not a race car you can't beat the usability of the GTO and overall package. Ofcourse if a G8 falls under $20K then we have a new contender.

I voted ls1 camaro, supporting community, aftermarket products, modding potential, price, power, looks, insurance costs (because it is an older vehicle) are all covered, and gas is quite resonable in an m6 on highway (i have gotten 28mpg before). I dd my 02 z28 and it does just fine for me!

Pontiac G8 or GTO would be my choice as a daily driver.

I've been daily driving my M6 Formula for over 11 yrs now even through the Michigan Winters. If I could retire it and had a choice of another DD it would be a AWD Traiblazer SS or SRT8 Jeep.

How do you manage to keep the car in good condition throughout michigan minters??? I might have to do the same this upcoming one and Im worried about my under body turning to ****, considering there is practically no rust now.

Based on your choices....I vote LS2 GTO as a daily

It's comfy and somewhat cheap nowadays.

if you find a g8 under 20k, it'll be a V6 or wrecked. so my vote would be GTO. maybe TBSS but gas mileage would lose my vote

During the winter I go to a drive thru Car wash that has an underbody blast.
Unfortunately after lowering my car I may not be ale to do this anymore.

2010 SS. I don't think it needs a expliantion.

Then if I had to pick from your list. C5 Z06. Very cheap to find great adn responds well to mods. Great looks and not a heavy pig.

From that list I chose others. Why? I have a SRT8 Magnum which to me strikes the perfect balance between power and function...also a slight nice sleeper look.

I voted LS1 Camaro, 10k for the car + 10k for the mods = Kick a#$ DD. No offense GTO fans, but it doesn't look like a European car either.

C5 ZO, no question. Better handling, more trunk space (other than a GTO), great looks, good power, well priced. Definitely my pick.

I voted C5Z out of your options but I really probably would have included the G8 line as well in your poll... That would have been a very popular choice.

CTS-V

price not the most expensive on the list
power LS6
looks only z06 beats it IMO
insurance c'mon, it's a 4 door sedan, not a sports car according to ins companies
gas it could be better
room has the most of the cars on the list
supporting community yeah...
aftermarket products lots....
modding potential endless, like any car
drag strip car not exactly

C5z06, but then i would start chopping on it and would have to put it up and find another DD...so maybe a G8
