i love the look of the 02 LE cars....but when i see a 5th gen, it just gets me more excited, and id definitely love to own one. i dont care if its a fat pig, the build quality is wayyy better than the the 4th gens. plus, a new car helps the economy
edit: happy 800th post to me!

Due to the asking price on the LE,I would go with the 2k10 over the 02. I personally love the 4th gens appearance over the new camaros body style but I rather spend that amount of cash on a new vehicle.
If u get the 2k10 don't go buying 21 or 22s for it man.
When are u planning to choose and make your vehicle purchase?

The 2002 is made for you. You mentioned a weekend warrior and a collector. That describes the 2002, not a new everyday 2010 car that you will see everywhere every day of the week pretty soon. Like someone said earlier, a 'no-brainer'. Good luck with your purchase!

i can imagine it being as common as the mustang. I'd hate to drive a car that you see on the road every 5 min.
give it time, the new camaro will probably end up like that. (lets hope so, for GM's sake) lol

Well it's going to cost more than 6-10k difference to get a 2010 camaro. Since they are going for 7-10k over sticker. The v6 LT cars are going for 27k, the rs/ss mid to upper 30's! Iv'e seen fully optioned SS for 37,900. Might as well get a vette, thats just too much $ for my blood. I vote 02' all day over the 10'

I'd get the '02.
The 2010's are head turners because they are new! You will be cool for a few days, in a year nobody will care about them and I think those and the Challengers are just a fad anyways. Dont get me wrong, I like them both a lot, but I think they will fade. I could be wrong, and probably am since I'm speaking in public here, but I think about what will be rolling across the floor at Barrett Jackson in a few decades and I see the '02 special edition as being the one pulling 6 figures plus, in original condition of course.
If the 2010 is a fad and doesnt get produced long, it could go either way. It could be a rare and valuable car or suffer the fate of the late 70s Camaros, Firebirds, and ( late 70s Mustangs) and end up a vine garden in front yards of trailer parks across the nation. or get melted down to make a new batch of doge neons!

I'd say the 02 LE but I'm impartial. Trust me you will get plenty of head turns with that car. Before to long the 2010 will be a dime a dozen around and the LE will stick out more. It may not be the last camaro anymore but still the last of 35 straight years. Just my .02

i would get the 2010, i just couldnt justify dropping that kinda coin on a glorified SS with stripes. they look good dont get me wrong but those are 10000 dollar stripes and wheels when it gets right down to it. this thinking is why i have a Z, an SS is a glorified camaro too with a hood and spoiler...

Are these limited edition cars really sellng for over 20 grand? In this economy? Personally I love the look of the 35th anniversary SS but that seems a lot of cash to drop on a 4th gen platfrom that has origins that date back to 1993. Sure there's a ton of difference between an 02 car and a 93 but still.
