Default 02 35th Anniversary Edition, or 2010 2SS?

So I am thinking about picking up a new toy. I love the new Camaro, but I have the opportunity to get an 02 35th Anniversary Edition (the red one with stripes) for a pretty reasonable price and very low miles. Should I get a new one or get the older one?

Drive both and pick which one you like the best. They both have their pros and cons. I guess it also depends on what you want to do with the car. Daily driver , weekend warrior , comfort, power, looks. We neeed more information.

When you say reasonable price what is the person asking for.I see them going for 20000 and that's about a 10000 difference from a 10 ss.not only that it has low miles which may keep you from wanting to drive it much and what's the fun in that.me personally would go with the 02 just bc you'll see a lot less of those on the road and then I would use it for what cars were meant to do,drive.

Buy the '02, invest $10,000 in it and have a Super Camaro.

Like said above, just drive them both and see which one you like best.

I'd personally get the 2010, but that's just because I already have an 02' lol...

It will strictly be a weekend warrior, no rain driving, stored in winter, etc. I am wanting something I can keep as a "collector" for many, many years.

I agree on the fact that there will be less on the road. I think the 10's will be seen everywhere here pretty soon. Plus with the 35th Edition I think there were only like 1400 of them made in a convertable...so more rare. They are asking $23500 for it.

well i think your leaning towards the 02 the way you talk.you want something as a collector and something to be a weekend warrior.and you didnt mention the convertible part before and that pretty much seals the deal

2002 35th anniversary edition Camaro would be the one I would get.A lot less of them produced. However, you would be contributing to GM new camaro sales and might turn more heads with the 2010 Camaro SS.

02 Anniversary at this point in time! So far there are no special edition 5th gens to purchase, so get the car that has already depreciated and probably won't go any lower...especially given the current economy.

The 2010 SS is a better built car, I would get it over a 2002.

Ummm... I think most everyone that said '02 over that '10 hasn't seen the asking price he posted lol, 23,500. That's a whopping 6,500 difference. Personally I would go for just a low mile '02 and not pay a penny over 14k, but if you do have the money and the means to drop 23,500 on a 7 year old car you should get the '10 instead. I mean seriously, the '10s ride and fit/finish is like apples to oranges to a '02, no comparison. I mean as far as a head turner/weekend toy a '10 has my vote, track/autocross get an '02 and have some fun. Just my .02

If you want a collectors car, 02 LE SS would have been my vote over '10 SS.

The way I see it, 02 LE SS isn't the last year for camaro anymore so it isn't as special.

For around the same price get a 2003, 50th anniversary vette.
