I live in VA, bought my car in NC. I had the signed title and bill of sale, but also went on the DMV's website and purchased a one way trip permit. I think it was $5 and I taped it in the back window...didn't have any issues.

bought mine in kansas city, KS, drove it all the way across missouri to home (about 30 mins outside of STL) os it was about a 4 hour drive. all i did was sign the papers and it was fine. only time i got in trouble was because my damn right foot was acting up, like it was lead or something. no ticket though, so its all good.
anyways, just drive safe and around the limit and youll be fine.

Looks like you are all set. I was going to say if it was a dealer they would take care of all the paperwork. A bill of sale is important from a private sale to go along with the title just in case you are stopped. My last big buying trip was from Philly to the mountains here in NC, very similar to the drive you will be undertaking. You know what the hardest part will be?? Leaving the car in a motel parking lot at night on the way home. You will peek out your room window once every 15 minutes and several times during the night. Just park it under a strong parking lot light as close to the front lobby as possible and try to stay at a nicer place. Spend $100 for a room at a nice motel instead of a cheap trucker fleabag motel. Consider it part of your car purchase. Have fun and we all hope the car is everything it was represented to be.
