I guess its good to see that there are some finacially responsible members, but i know you have some plans for your car too, or else you wouldn't even be on this site.

I would personally invest in the drug market to live out my life long dream of becoming a drug lord. Even though 20k isn't that much in the drug market everyone has to start somewhere.

It seems like you guys have very similar ideas. It also seems like most peoples dream setup would be turbos. Wheres the guys that want a 500 shot of n2o or a badass procharger F3.

Can a warhawk even live with 2 nasty turbos and a 200 shot? I would like someone to try it so i can find out.
The warhawk block has 6 head bolts per cylinder and is avaible with a taller deck height for larger displacement. It also has billet-steel main caps with APR main studs. They also seem to advertise this block is capable of handling "big boost" (they dont specify how much, but with a price just below 5k, it better handle something). The main reason i chose this block was because of its weight. All the power and tq of a big block without the extra luggage.
And besides, I'm sure if i had that much cash given to me to blow on a car i would at least try it and experiment/research the motors boundaries. it would probably make one sick build thread and shed alot of light on warhawks products.

I dont think anyone was hating on your combo man. Infact I've wanted the warhawk and would get one all day over a LSX if i could afford it. The problem is I can't afford either LOL.
If i had a unlimited budget and any choice of what block to start a build with i would choose 1)dart billet(no comparisons) 2)Warhawk 3)RHS (if it ever comes out) 4)LSX

Get a stall, cam, and built rear-end and put the remaining $15,000 towards the above. Which would then free up enough cash per month to purchase an AWD TBSS for my wife to DD..... and then I would eventually want to start modding it. Never ends. Can you make that $40k instead of $20k....

We're all pretty much dreaming anyway.

$20k I can spend on car parts? Easy. IAII 535ci, Tiger heads, 270 solid roller, and update the car to handle the power. If I had more I would go twin turbo. Realistically I would pay off some bills and put it in savings. I would like to put an L92 in my 76 C10 though.

But if It was all going towards the Z I would try and do a forged 402 or 408 built for boost (7k maybe?), a single turbo setup including fuel system (4k?) a built rearend (3k), built A4 tranny and a new stall (4k), new TA with driveshaft loop, new driveshaft, and 4/4 Konis and new springs (2k+) so that would probably put me a little over 20k, but still wouln't have any drag rims and tires which I would also want. But then again everybodys build ends up over budget doesn't it? Also for got to add in a solid $500 if not more for a good tune. And thats say I do all the work myself too. Man this stuff adds up quick.
