As far as cat backs go I would say magnaflow.... alot of people around here have the magnaflow catback. But it would be a land slide for Pacesetter headers.... they are the VAST majority around here.

I would say magnaflow hands down for the overall exhaust market. They have also done alot of advertising and made alot of progress getting into the import market. I know a TON of import guys that have prefer magnaflow compared to Greedy or other import brands.

this is what I know about exhaust
Flowmaster: the originator of performance exhaust, and it still after all these years sounds pretty damn good
Magnaflow: Mario Andretti runs Magnaflow so it must be good
Dynamax: Do they make anything other then bullets??
Hooker: synonymous with headers, they are the go to header company
Hedman: Old school header company, LS headers have too small of primaries
Edelbrock: SBC stuff, exhaust is not their main focus
Thrush: Before: one of the originators in glasspacks on muscle cars. Now:Auto Zone performance mufflers, but their chambered mufflers sound pretty damn decent.
That is all. Opinions??

I still see SOME Flowmaster signs around but Magnaflow has taken the top spot id say. 100% stainless steel and their exhausts and mufflers are not outrageously priced and sound good. BY THE WAY FLOWLESSMASTER SUCKS! IMHO. I have had a few when I was under 21 and had no sense

biggest name in my book is flowmaster. although not the best brand in my opinion or in a lot of other people's opinion, every person who has every modified something on their car, whether it be a mustang, a honda, a toyota, a vw, a chevy pickup, etc....all those people have heard the name flowmaster. flowmaster makes an exhaust for almost any application.
if you were to ask whats the buggest name in the ls1 fbody world, i would say borla or slp without a doubt

To answer your question in general...then the answer is flowmaster. Big name for our cars, then thats a dif story, although people do run flowmaster exhaust on our cars. Flowmasters arent the greatest flowing catbacks in our applications due to their design. Their design is more suited for straight flowing rather than transversal flow like our cars. They do sound good though. Magnaflow gets my vote
