Just thought of this, I know FAST intakes can be ported but what about the plain ole ls6 intakes? Has anyone ever tried porting them and have you seen any gains?

yes, many have tried. key word tried. all stock mani's have been ported and tested. all gain power from porting except the ls6. only true gains ive seen on them is from opening up the TB hole on the snout. ive never seen anyone gain from messing with the ports on a ls6 intake and many have been fubared.
