Default z06 cam?

Hey I was wondering, how much modification would it take, if someone were to take a cam from a c5 z06 and put it into their f body or regular c5? What kind of power gains would you get from that? I knw some people will say it's pointless and to go bigger if you're going through all that, but im just asking theoretically speaking.

Cam fits right in, but you will need LS6 springs.

Also recommended: LS2 timing chain, hardened pushrods, valve seals.

Gains are minimal. I put in the 01 Z06 cam (the milder one) and it made 324 RWHP.

Only other mods are Flowmaster muffler and polished TB.

Runs perfectly stock with slight power incease.

yea while u are in there might as well do valvesprings, pushrods, etc if you want to boost it later on. save yourself some headaches down the road.

I heard 20-25 hp gain. I was gonna do it cuz I couldve got a deal on the whole package. I went with a bigger cam & glad I did. Still wish I went just a lil bigger too but I still like it. Next year I will get some heads.
