The pewter one looks like it's in pretty good shape, I don't think I trust the "WS6." Those look like the 16" chrome rims I have on my T/A, not the WS6 17".

I would go with the pewter one as well. Pre-modded and you don't have to worry about selling the other Camaro since he will take it as partial payment...go with that!!

I went to look at the Pewter car one last time, they kept giving me a bunch of **** about the car. I told them to kiss my *** for $12,000. They kept raising the price for all their little bullshit repairs.

I am going to look at the red WS6 this weekend, if I can't find another car by then, I will be getting the WS6, if I like it.

Those tips look just like the ones on my ride. If they are they came from Fast Toys and are 304 stainless steel. I always wish I had cut a little more off my hooker catback so mine would have tucked in more, but then I guess the bumper would get smoked up. They mimic the original tips that came on a 98 z28.

Oh yea. NEVER BUY A USED CAR WITH A SHIFT LITE INSTALLED ON IT!!!!

That pewter SS is either a converted V6 or somebody painted the c-pillar. Or are there actually some that came with paint-matched c-pillars and I'm just dumb?

Some came painted.

Can't believe how hard it is to find an SS or WS6 with a 6 speed.

They would not budge at all on the red Trans Am. I was kinda shocked they turned me down.

I drove the Z28 again, I really like the car. It scratches going into 4th though, that's the only thing I noticed wrong with it. It will be $7500 after TTL

I am still considering the SS, I talked to the manager and $9000 plus my Camaro as a trade in and it's a deal. Someone put a deposit down but he would call me Wednesday if it doesn't sell. I don't like his co-worker though, he pisses me off.

Also what do you guys think about this car? It has 136k miles. About $7300.

The TA still is a little scary to me but if its what you want then do it. Also have you looked at the for sale section here theres alot of nice cars for the price your looking for and you can ask the owners instead of a d*ckhead salesman. Just a thought.

There's nothing of interest in Houston..

I didn't think it would be this hard...

I drove 250 miles to pick up my SS, well worth it in my opinion. don't settle when buying a car make sure its what you want. I believe SS's and WS6's have the WU8 code to show authenticity. correct me if im wrong

If I were you I would have jumperd on that pewter SS, that was a nice one. But let me tell you something dont rush to get into an LS1 like I did to get a WS6, I was so desperate about not finding a WS6 with an LS1 M6 so I settled for a 97 LT1 A4, I loved the car but thats not what I wanted. So guess what I started searching for LS1 again and they were everywhere, I was so pissed. 1 year after I bought the LT1 I found the WS6 that I always wanted, Pewter, LS1 M6, 120k miles on car and 20k miles on crate engine and one of the cleanest T/A's that I looked at on my search. Thats my story and sorry for the long post and good luck on any purchase that you do.

But whatever you do, DO NOT RUSH!

The SS was over priced for what it was. I really like the red T/A though and it's not out of the question yet. I did find a nice black WS6 with 124,000 for $6000 though. All stock except for flow masters and black TT2's..

Dont be afraid to travel some for the car. If you widen your search you open more possibilities. After i get out of basic in may i will go any where in the country to get my m6 ls1.

ever think you could be gettng in over your head? if you only make 400 a month, you are going to stretch yourself. what if something goes wrong, IE motor blows, can you afford to fix it. **** i was only making between 400-500 when i was in high school, and i wanted an fbody bad, but i held off and im glad i did. 400 bucks wont get you far. ~200 for gas plus the 170 for your ins like you said. have fun with $30 a month for fun/mods.

buy something cheap for a DD and start saving again, and pick up more hours or a second job if you can. if not, save til youre outta HS and then buy what you want.

I have a 95 Camaro as my DD. My grandpa pays my insurance plus gas isn't too bad since I live so close to everything.

I put my camaro up yesterday and already have 3 people coming to look at it for $2500 so I am not worried about selling it to make my payment. So after I sell it I would still have $1000 in case something happens.

I want to go check out the black one tomorrow, I would have plenty of breathing room with that car.

Don't be so impatient. Find what you want and can afford. Here's a couple of good deals on EBay:

Texas Direct Auto has a couple of nice 4th gen's, but it appears that they are all automatics. I also noticed some nice C4 Corvette's. Just a thought.....
