well i think it wont be quite 2500 for the damage anymore, cuz i found a black door from a parted out car, and i found a passenger rear quarter. I got clipped from the side and it was my fault. but the rocker needs repairing, and all the labor to install a quarter and w/ paint and hanging the door. so it shouldnt be near 2500 now, cuz they figure in a $900 quarter panel from GM and now i wont be needing that cuz i got one.
and yes we raced, and he only beat me by car, and my car is stock.... hilarious i know lol

lol thanks guys, and yeah Im the same way, thats why i bought my car completely BONE STOCK except for some nittos. I just have liability on the car, and im having to come out of pocket 2500 to fix it. My buddy just put it out there that he'd trade me if i didnt wanna fool with it, and it sounded tempting.
but a black ss has always been what i wanted, and ive definatly decided to keep it now. Not to mention its my 3rd ls1, and ive never had a problem out of any of them, except for the damn windows! lol

just have your car fixed. $2500 isnt that much. If you guys trade, your buddy with the mustang is getting an awesome deal. Hes got over 150k miles and its only a GT. If it was a 03-04 cobra then were being more realistic

my friends 2000 GT, mileage unknown, but definatly has more the 150k( he switched the cluster), 5spd, patriot heads, comp cams, bullitt intake, xpipe, borla catback, 4.30s, tuned
its silver w/ cloth interior, spring edition w/ saleen wheels and lowered. very clean car.

are you frikin NUTS. what body work needs done. you can pick up used fenders etc off of ebay. don't trade for a MUCH slower car with potential of your car figured in. ... your gonna regret it forever.

The faster car - Mustang H/C/I = Stock Camaro (Probably right about the same power to the wheels I would guess)
You say its 2500 worth of body work on the camaro, but how much money you think your gonna put into the mustang? With 150K the tranny, engine , anything expensive could go around that time.

ive been on both sides of this fence....the mustang was sold less then a month after purchase. and it was a 70k car. drive a stock for stock LS vs a 4.6.... that should answer your question.
