Honestly....I would really consider it if the mustang was in good mechanical condition. AKA make sure the h/c/tune is all in order and done right and its not going to explode on you in the next few weeks. Maybe even see if you can get him to send an oil sample in to make sure everythings in good shape there. With the 2500 youre saving on body work you could slap a power adder on there and be set with a h/c/fi car for what it would have been to fix up the body on your ss. Or you could trade and use the 2.5k to buy another camaro and have both. In the end its all up to which car you think you would be happier driving.

This thread is like a joke without a punch line... just a strange question(I'm putting it nicely) without anything to laugh about... If you're impressed with that mustang, you really need a tune up and a couple mods for your self.
I've beat so many of those stangs at the track with h/c/i/exhaust...
Ask yourself, do you want a highly modded car that's quick or a car that when highly modded will own all?

Mods = run far and away. If I were you I wouldn't someone else's ride that was driven hard and put away wet. I don't care if he has a 1,000,000 horsepower motor, chances are that car probably has issues due to the hard life you can safely assume it's led. It's always better to build your own machine than to buy someone else's and spend the rest of your life trying to figure out where they left off with it...

Some cars get the hell beat out of them and can take it(my car) and some get the **** beat out of them and make you want to just tip toe away.

lol thanks guys, and yeah Im the same way, thats why i bought my car completely BONE STOCK except for some nittos. I just have liability on the car, and im having to come out of pocket 2500 to fix it. My buddy just put it out there that he'd trade me if i didnt wanna fool with it, and it sounded tempting.
but a black ss has always been what i wanted, and ive definatly decided to keep it now. Not to mention its my 3rd ls1, and ive never had a problem out of any of them, except for the damn windows! lol
so the decisions made, im keeping it

Have you guys raced? What was the outcome?
I know you already said your keeping it, but my opinion is without a doubt keep your SS. Especially when you said its what youve wanted. The 5 speeds in those cars seem to be hit and miss (weak) like our 10 bolts.
Glad you made the right decision.

Mileage - Camaro > Mustang
Resell Value - Camaro > Mustang
Gas mileage - Camaro > Mustang
The fact it is a mustang - Camaro > Mustang
The faster car - Mustang H/C/I = Stock Camaro (Probably right about the same power to the wheels I would guess)
You say its 2500 worth of body work on the camaro, but how much money you think your gonna put into the mustang? With 150K the tranny, engine , anything expensive could go around that time.
