Default Those of you that part out LS1 cars, come in.

A guy locally has a wrecked 98 T/A, 130k miles, auto, leather with a tear in the drivers seat that he is selling. How much do you normally get out of everything once its sold? Im debating on buying it to part out.

What's asking for it?

Figure the engine, trans, wiring, computer, and accessories $2000-2500 Maybe $3000 if you sell it to some hotrodder that's putting it in a 32 Ford that doesn't know what these are going for but don't count on it.

Seats are tough because of the rip figure $200 to be safe.

It was me I'd give him $3000 for it as that gaurantees you at least $1000 profit to justify the time. The car has to start and run though.

He wants $2500 and won't budge on it, it still runs fine he says. I don't know what kind of title it has, so fixing it may not be an option. Im trying to set up a time to go look at it.

Buy it NOW. If you are able to start the engine so that a buyer can hear it run, you can get $2500 for the engine/trans alone. You then can part the other stuff out for whatever prices you want as it's pure profit. You'll easily make $1000-2000.
