urgent: engine whining

urgent: engine whining So i did a brunout just now I wrapped it up a little too high and now theres a strange whine coming from the front or top of the engine. It sounds fine when just idling but any application of the gas causes this whining. Any ideas?

tomorrow take your accessory belt off and start the car, if theres no whine, it might be your alternator or the alt pulley. thats what it was on my grand am.

It was so happy to do a burnout it supercharged itself. No is it for sure engine and not trans or the rear end. Like can you make it happen if you rev it on the TB and not from in the car?
