you want show and shine with a drag setup. your gonna want 2 different wheels atleast one to race on and one to drive on. but with 60k you could make an amazing. F-body. really comes down to your preference. you want auto? powerglide? 6spd? Fuel injection? carbed? turbo? nitrous? supercharged? all motor? its really hard to tell you what to build.
so many things come into play what you want. also a goal. set a goal for yourself. a 9 sec or put down 1000hp or something like that. and then start there you can quickly spend that 60k and not touch what you want. but it all depends on what you want

you can buy me a car for 10k and buy an 02 z06 with the rest =) lol. If i had 60k to spend, id probably build 2 LS7 mustangs, one for me and one for the wife. Good luck in your endeavor!

Thats a pretty open question but I would say no way on the '10 Camaro. If you want brand new paid for get the new grand sport vette. If you want almost paid for get the z06, and if you are good with used get a nice 996 GT2 RS, or any of the many other all wheel drive turbo race ready Porsche models!

You must be real special....

To the OP...depends on what you want to do...work on it? or just buy a really fast car that is overpriced i.e. c6 zo6? I would buy an old 69 camaro w/ a 572 bbc in it. Just my .02.

You should buy a super clean 98-02 F-body, which you should be able to find for 15-20k and put a huge NA motor in it that makes like 800HP.

A little clarification here. I'm going in on a car with my dad. The 02 is mine the 07 is his. I would like to build something from scratch and he wants a new camaro. Any arguments for my side?

buy my GTO and I have a 455 that comes with it you can easily make 1000HP with a turbo and make it look bonestock with the hood closed and have plenty of money left over

ARGUE THAT ITS THE NEW CAR "WOW" FACTOR here in a few years its just like any other camaro, everyone that has a few grand to drop on a newish car will have a camaro. go get an old school car and drop in a late modle power house. i mean whats better than a late 60's early 70's muscle car with a motor that scares children and women while at idle?
you'll have that proven classic good looks with the technology that gets you upper 20mpg!

most here are gonna say 69 camaro or TA chevelle... the GM list can go on for days.

look at maybe an old E-body mopar and drop you in a nasty LS motor.
A 69 1/2 super bee in copper penny is the dream car for me.

yea like previously stated. i nice 69 camaro with a 572 a twin turbo setup. with some real real fat 335 in the back with a deep dish wheel slammed on the ground. turning 9s in the quarter but still very respectable on the street. might run a little more then 60k to make it look perfect. but with 60k can build yourself one hell of a car.

it all depends on what type of toy you want.something to go fast in a straight line,go fast on curves,a fun driving car that you can take on long trips,....?

imo,the new camaro is way over priced and to heavy.

just show him pics of it and be like they needed sponsors to do that. and we can do it all out of our pockets and it will be OUR project. with no help from anyone else!!!
me my dad and grandfather have been working on a 68 C10 with a 468 BBC for the last 3 or 4 years. and i love the fact that we all have something that we did together. its awesome i just wish we had the cash flow like you do lol
